About Octolens

Octolens watches Reddit, Hacker News, GitHub, Stack Overflow, DEV, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Bluesky, podcasts, newsletters and the open web for mentions, then scores them for relevance so you are not reading everything. Two things set it apart from the rest of this tier. First, seats are unlimited on every paid plan — the whole team can watch without a per-user negotiation. Second, and rarer still, it publishes its overage rates: $0.013 per mention beyond the 15,000 included on Pro, $0.01 on Scale, and $10 or $5 per extra keyword respectively. Almost nothing else in this catalogue will tell you what going over costs, which is how a cheap tool becomes an expensive invoice. The real difference between the $159 Pro and the $499 Scale plan is not the keyword count but the refresh rate: hourly against real-time. If you need to catch a Hacker News thread while it is still on the front page, hourly is too slow, and that is what moves people up. Seven-day trial with full Pro features and up to 5,000 mentions.
